The THQ Alpicool THQ20D Drawer Fridge Freezer is a compact, premium refrigeration solution designed to integrate neatly into almost any van conversion.

A key feature of this upgraded THQ model is its high-quality LG compressor. Rather than using the lower-cost generic compressor systems found in some budget drawer fridges, the THQ20D is equipped with a genuine LG compressor, providing dependable, efficient cooling and giving you greater confidence in one of the most important components of the fridge.

With a 20.7-litre capacity and low-profile drawer design, the THQ20D is ideal for installations where space is limited. Unlike a conventional fridge door that swings outwards, the entire refrigerated compartment slides smoothly forward as a drawer. This makes food and drinks easy to access while minimising the amount of surrounding space required.

It works particularly well underneath kitchen units, worktops, seats and storage systems in campervans, daily drivers and work vans. The compressor is one of the most important components in any 12V fridge, which is why this upgraded version uses a recognised LG compressor rather than a generic lower-cost compressor unit often associated with cheaper alternatives.

This provides efficient and dependable refrigeration whether the fridge is being used every day in a work van, during weekends away or as part of a fully equipped campervan conversion.

Smartphone App Control

The THQ20D is also app connectable, giving you convenient control of the fridge directly from your smartphone.

Using the CAR FRIDGE FREEZER app, available for compatible Apple iOS and Android devices through the App Store and Google Play, you can connect to the fridge and manage its operation without needing to access the control panel directly.

The app allows you to monitor and adjust the fridge temperature, control operating settings and manage power usage, making it particularly useful when the fridge is installed underneath a seat, inside cabinetry or somewhere where the physical controls are less convenient to reach.

Fridge or Freezer Operation

The THQ20D can operate as either a fridge or freezer, with an adjustable temperature range of approximately -20°C to +20°C.

This gives you the flexibility to use it for chilled drinks and fresh food or lower the temperature when frozen storage is required.

It can run from 12V or 24V DC power inside the vehicle as well as 100–240V AC mains power, making it suitable for use both on the road and when connected to an external power supply.

A three-stage vehicle battery-protection system helps prevent excessive discharge of the vehicle battery, while Fast Cooling and Energy Saving modes allow the fridge to be configured depending on whether rapid cooling or reduced energy consumption is the priority.

The digital LED touch-control panel provides straightforward manual control, while the secure drawer latch helps keep the refrigerated compartment firmly closed when travelling.

Inside, a removable wire rack helps organise food and drinks. The 35mm insulation and durable steel outer casingmake the fridge particularly well suited to life in a campervan or working vehicle.

With a rated operating noise level of 45dB or less, the THQ20D also provides quiet refrigeration for use inside a vehicle.
